St. Pauls Willimantic

Theme Ubuntu:

..... the essence of being human. It speaks of the fact that my humanity is caught up and is inextricably bound up in yours. I am human because I belong. It speaks about wholeness, it speaks about compassion.....

Welcome

Welcome to St. Paul's website. Make yourself at home, poke around the site - you'll find out a lot about us, where we've been, and where we hope to go.

If you're in the neighborhood come visit us, join us for a service, a meal, either or both. You'll find us at a little stone church on Valley Street. It's in Willimantic, a Connecticut mill town.

Our church has served all kinds of different people through the years. The Willi Food Co-op started in our basement.  About a quarter century ago we founded the Covenant Soup Kitchen - and supported it until it could become independent.  The soup kitchen is  now at 100,000+ meals/year - and strong enough to take over ownership of the church property.   Much more recently, St. Paul's founded the beginnings of an orphanage in Kakata, Liberia.

On Wednesday October 28 we started a series of noon hour services designed to bring God's love, peace, joy, healing - Ubuntu - to the whole Willimantic community. More details at the in Willimantic page.

Is there something missing in your life, a need for spirituality, a safe place to be yourself? Perhaps you just want to connect with some different people. Drop in, you'll be welcome - and you just might find what you're looking for!

To find out more about what's been happening with our church, check out  our blogs, and for some of the nitty gritty details see the Parish notes page.
