The Willimantic community is generally supportive of the Soup Kitchen, but there certainly is a significant element that would prefer to see it – and poor people in general – vanish. If it had to move.....

The Covenant Soup Kitchen:  Providing over 10,000 meals per month at last count - and the demand is growing...
WAIM:  The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry. Supporting the local community by providing for basic human needs.
The Willimantic Food Co-op:  Member owned whole foods market with a focus on locally produced goods.  Its first home was St. Paul's basement.
Take Note:  "Sweet sounds from the quiet corner" - a great a cappella group that does benefit concerts for local charities.
What's Hoppin Willimantic:  All about Willimantic and what's going on. Editions for Eastern students and for residents.
Curbstone Press:  A nonprofit publisher of literature that promotes human rights and inter-cultural understanding.

Wrench in the works:  A Willimantic collective that operates a member run coffee house and social justice center.
St. Paul's Episcopal Church Windham:  Our sister church in Windham Center.
St. Paul's Collegiate Church:  Another St. Paul's, but this one is in Storrs and is post-denominational.
The Episcopal Church:  Connecticut Diocese.
The Episcopal Church:  National.
