First Sunday Breakfast by the Men's Group PDF Print E-mail

Most Sundays we have "coffee and conversation" after the service - with coffee, tea, milk, assorted juices, and miscellaneous goodies. The supply of goodies tends to be rather variable since it depends on someone deciding to bring them. We're working on ways to make the supply more reliable - but for sure we have a real breakfast on the first Sunday of the month.

This popular event is an ongoing service of the Men's Group (actually, it's probably the main reason for our existence).  As always at St. Paul's, everyone is welcome to joins us for this meal - whether or not they attend the service.  It's free - no collection is taken and everyone really is welcome.

The Men's Group

Basically, the men's Group consists of any male who shows up with some regularity.  Al Scott got this whole thing going and remains our glorious leader (he also does other useful stuff). We prepare and serve the breakfast - and get to clean up afterwords (I must admit that on occasion, Helen has been seen at the sink as well).

Dues are $5/month. Members take turns being in charge (assign jobs, do the shopping, collect the dues money). Any profit goes toward the occasional, more expensive breakfast (see menu below). In the future we hope to get to the point where we can do breakfasts more often than once a month or perhaps improve the table on the other Sundays..

Breakfast Menus

As always,  coffee, tea, milk, assorted juices, and miscellaneous goodies to go with the meal and conversation.  Recent and upcoming menus:

September 7:  Special breakfast for Rev Pat's last regular service at St. Paul's

August 3:   French toast, sausage, Joe's real home fries

July 6:    Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast

May 4:   French toast, sausage, Joe's real home fries

April 6:   Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast
